I'm Jillian Chance, and I am studying Psychology at UCF with a minor in event management. I also serve as the current programs chair of TEA@UCF. I've delved into the fascinating intersection of human behavior and the captivating world of themed entertainment.
My journey into themed entertainment was not a straight line. My academic journey initially steered towards understanding the complexities of the human mind, a realm that intrigues me deeply. However, amidst my studies, I discovered a parallel passion for the arts, nurtured through various creative outlets.
It was this blend of psychology and artistic expression that led me to TEA@UCF, where I found a community that resonated with my interests. Here, I've had the opportunity to explore themed entertainment, honing my marketing, writing, and sketching skills, mainly under conceptual design.
During my internship, I gained insights into hospitality and honed skills in guest communication and strategic marketing. This hands-on experience reinforced my belief in the importance of organizing events and serving others within the entertainment industry, shaping my approach to creating immersive and engaging experiences.
My current role as Programs Chair has been both a privilege and a learning experience. Collaborating with fellow students has enhanced my skill set and reinforced my belief in the power of immersive experiences to connect and inspire.
I'm eager to continue this journey, leveraging my unique blend of psychology insights and creative flair to craft memorable moments that resonate with people's hearts and minds.
